The has long been much controversy about the jump from GCSE’s to A-Levels. This is especially the case for GCSE Maths which has affected in particular those wishing to go on to study A/AS Level in Physics.
Well the Online Astronomy Society and Mickeldore Publishers have worked hard together to bring a solution to you. An online course JUST short enough to fit into the recess between the GCSE Maths and the A-Levels.
This course (full syllabus soon to be announced) can be followed completely online at the learners pace. Its instructor led offering a book and downloadable worksheets. There are no assessments or end exam at the end of it but the student will have all the extra maths they need to graduate on to tackle A-Level or AS Level Physics. Physics as we know is a core science much needed for those wishing to enter engineering, medicine, or similar. We hope to make the transition easier to make!
The course will be instructed by none other than Dr Nigel Marshall who should require little introduction to those reading this. He is senior examiner to Edexcel and author of numberous books including GCSE Astronomy.
The course is expected to start June 2015 For more information please contact us. The course is also available to those preferring to study at their own pace without an instructor we can arrange for a CD to be sent out. Again please contact us for more information.
