This lady, who i will call Jane, was chatting to me yesterday saying how hard it was to get her kids into anything. She was keen to get them into astronomy but was not sure how.
I suggested starting with the Moon, and getting them to see where the Apollo missions landed. Below shows the results of our suggestions
“Hi I thought I would let you know that what started off as a suggestion of looking at the moon through binoculars tonight has resulted in researching lunar landings so seen a map of them, then watching a YouTube video about it & now my 13 yr old Alex is looking to watch the 1st moon landing with Neil Armstrong to see if he was the 1st man on the moon or a camera man lol thank you again for the chat yesterday”
Hearing stories like these are what makes what we do worthwhile, thank you Jane!
