With the new format of GCSE Astronomy rapidly approaching how are AstronomyCourses preparing for this?
Well, we have a new classroom (obviously) we new crisp downloadable worksheets. We’ve listened to feedback and we’re adding more worksheets which students can download and complete themselves, self mark, then report to their tutor how they got on!
Gone now is the need to arrange to meet the tutor for project supervision, in fact you may never need to meet your tutor. This frees up our tutors to concentrate on what they are best at, supporting our students. Although you will be assigned a tutor (based on location) any one of us can offer assistance. We’ve also noted that not everyone likes the online forums, so there is a new Facebook group where assistance can be gained.
A new textbook is also in production as we speak, but better than that, to align with the need for two observations, we’ve teamed up with the Faulkes Telescope to offer professional level instruments the students can use themselves. However if the student desires their own telescope, we are able to assist here too!
Hurray though, we have a limited number of places as we’re getting that popular! So why not sign up now to take your GCSE Astronomy in 2019!
