Our Astronomy for Educators course is a bit like our GCSE Astronomy program, except the emphasis is more on learning and understanding the material and development of ideas on how to present in class.
Your assigned mentor will also be an experienced Astronomy teacher of many years experience and will be able to guide (if necessary) around the concepts and or give some ideas on effective teaching. Certainly not developed however to teach the teacher how to suck eggs. However, for any teacher who would like to teach GCSE Astronomy within the school or other Astronomy subjects, this is the ideal course. Completed online with an end of course quiz which must be passed to qualify for the 75 CPD credits (awarded after completion in year 2.
This course does not lead to a formal GCSE Astronomy qualification (however the option is there if desired).
The course has full tutor support (via email or Skype). But other benefits include
Access to digital copy of GCSE Astronomy
Hard copy of GCSE Astronomy textbook
24/7 access to the portal
Access to digital quizzes and interactives
Access to our forum
Full study planner
