Maths for GCSE Astronomy

We’re pleased to announce we will shortly be accepting students onto the Maths for GCSE Astronomy.

Designed as a primer to prepare for the new (or not so new now) GCSE (9-1) Astronomy course content.

There is a maths primer for most of the modules which have maths content. Units at the moment include

Latitude and Longitude
Angular Measurement
Kepler’s Laws of Planetary motion.

Each supported by downloadable worksheets and interactive content.

More to come.

Designed to run as a brief primer before the GCSE (9-1) Astronomy course begins. Or just take it without, we don’t mind! But for those looking to sign up we will also make available material on the Observational Tasks as well, giving you an opportunity to be well read and well prepared before starting the actual course.

We anticipate this will be live for Easter 2018
